The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) yesterday upheld a High Court order that granted bail to BNP leader Amanullah Aman in four subversion cases, reports BSS.
A five-member Appellate Division panel headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order, disposing of the state appeal that pleaded for staying Aman's bail.
A High Court bench on August 31, 2015, granted Aman interim bail in four cases filed with Mohammadpur and Wari Police Stations. Police filed the cases against the BNP leader for vandalizing and setting buses on fire during the blockade called by his party.
