Police yesterday arrested four suspected members of banned Islamist militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team and seized sharp weapons, Jihadi books during drives at different areas of Chittagong district. The four arrestees were identified as Musa Ibne Humayar and Anwar Khurshed Alam, hailing from Patiya Upazila, Mohammad Islam, hailing from Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong and Shipon alias Faisal of Brahmanbaria district, said Mustafizur Rahman, additional superintendent of police (North) of Chittagong district. “Eight machetes, one laptop, six mobile phones and one tab were seized from the arrestees. The arrested Ansarullah team members were planning to carry out attacks in different industrial areas in Chittagong and on law-enforcers. Important information was found in their laptop about their attack blue-print,” added Mustafizur Rahman.
