Charges pressed against one for forgery in Sylhet
Police have pressed charges against one Ragib Ali in a case filed for forgery a letter of ministry.
Additional police super of (PBI) Sarwar Zahan submitted a charge sheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court Saifuj Zaman Hiro in Sylhet city on Sunday.
According to the case statement, in 2005 a case was filed at Kotwali police station as per the government order against the Ragib Ali, a rich man of the city and his associate for registering Tarapur tea garden in his name by forging document of ministry. Police also dropped the Ragib Alis wife from the charge sheet. The PBI started investigation into the case April last as per the High Court order.
Special train services to continue till July 14
The special train services of Bangladesh Railway (BR) will continue till July 14 on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr, reports BSS.
The special trains started operations on July 8 and the authorities sold advance tickets for those services from Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Dinajpur and Lalmonirhat stations from July 4. The routes of the special trains are: Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka, Khulna-Dhaka- Khulna, Parbatipur-Dhaka-Parbatipur, Chandpur-Chittagong-Chandpur. Besides the special services, the other regular train services will continue on their respective routes. The BR authorities also introduced a pair of new train named Sonar Bangla on Dhaka-Chittagong-Dhaka route before the Eid.
