Department of Environment (DoE) Chittagong seized 4.5 tons of banned polythene bags from city’s Bayezid and Pahartali area yesterday.
A team of DoE led By Azadur Rahman Mollik, director of DoE of Chittagong city conducting a drive seized the banned polythene bags.
“From city’s Textile Gate area under Bayezid police station from ‘The Poly Packaging’ a total of four tons banned polythene bags were seized while more 500 kilogram of polythene bags were seized from ‘Sayed Polythene Store’ of Pahartali area,” said Azadur Rahman Mollik.
