Mother, daughter crushed under train

Sirajganj: A woman and her daughter were crushed under the wheels of a train at Mulibari level crossing in sadar upazila yesterday afternoon, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Mukti, 22, wife of Saiful Islam of sadar upazila and her seven-month daughter Sadia.
Saiful Islam was injured in the accident.
Railway Police sources said Rangpur-bound ‘Rangpur Express’ train from Dhaka hit the couple and their daughter at Mulibari level crossing at about 12.50 pm when they were crossing it, leaving Mukti and Sadia dead on the spot and Saiful Islam critically injured.
Later, railway police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sirajganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.
