Tigers take on Ireland in Tri-series opener May 12

Bangladesh will take on Ireland in the tri-series opener, hosted by Ireland in May, 2017. The series is arranged as part of the preparation for ICC Champions Trophy, to be held in England in next June.
Bangladesh had never played in English condition since their tour there in 2010. The series in Ireland, the neighbouring country of England will give them an opportunity to acclimatise the condition.
Hosts Ireland take on Bangladesh in the first game on May 12 before facing New Zealand two days later.
New Zealand and Bangladesh go head-to-head on May 17, with Ireland playing Bangladesh for a second time on May 19.
Ireland's final game is against New Zealand on May 21, with the last game in the series between New Zealand and Bangladesh taking place on May 24.
This is a double-leg tournament where the highest point holder will be announced as champion with no final take places.
Ireland will begin their 2017 season with a two-match series against England with matches at Lord's and Bristol.
It was the Irish’s plan to play more matches what in a sense brings up good for Bangladesh. The Ireland, currently ranked 11th in ICC ODI rankings has no chance to play the ICC Champions trophy as the top eight ranked team qualified for the tournament, considered as second biggest ICC global event.
But the Ireland took the opportunity to increase the number of playing ODIs, giving New Zealand and Bangladesh a scope to have practice ahead of the tournament.
