Sixth Asian Children Games in Russia

Bangladesh shooter Abu Sufian  added a silver medal yesterday after Bangladeshi archer pair won a gold medal on Friday in the  ongoing 6th Children of Asian International Sports Games in Russia.
Archer Mohammed Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Mosammat Radia Akhter Shapla brought the honours for the country in the bamboo bow mixed pair event. They defeated the competitions from the host country by 5-1 points in the final. Kazakhstan archers garbed the bronze.
Abu Sufian clinched the silver in the  10-metre air rifle.
The Games for school children is being held in Sakha (Yakuitia Republic) at Russia. Participants from 20 countries are taking part in the Games. Bangladesh sent competitors in archery, shooting, chess and taekwondo.
 Bangladesh athletes have already completed their campaign and would return home on July 18, said Kazi Razin Uddin Ahmed Chapal, general secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation. “Definitely my children a achieved a good result and raised the country’s image by winning  a gold medal while playing in one of the coldest areas of the world.,” said Chapal who urged the countrymen to pray for the archers the to bring more laurels from international field.
  Meanwhile,  President of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) General Abu Belal Muhammed Shafiul Haque and Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza, applauded  the feat of  Bangladesh archers and Bangladesh shooter.
