Six injured in lightning at Gazipur

Six people of a family including women and children were injured by the strike of thunderbolts in Gazipur early this morning, reportes BSS.
The injured were identified as Md Tabir Uddin, 55, his wife Merina Akhter, 42, son Selim Uddin, 26, his wife Samina Akter, 22, their daughter Sumaiya Akter, 4, and Tabir’s granddaughter Zamia. They are admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The condition of Tabir is stated to be critical as most part of his body burnt in the lightning while others suffered minor injuries.
The incident occurred around 3.30am when a thunderbolt fell upon the house of Tabir Uddin at Hazi Market area under Joydebpur Police Station, police said.
