‘Build social resistance against militants’

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon on Thursday strongly condemned and protested the militant attack on patrol police squad near the country's largest Eid congregation at Sholakia in Kishoreganj district, reports BSS.
The minister demanded holding of trial of those responsible for the incident expeditiously after investigation. "Those who killed policemen and innocent people by launching attack on the Eid congregation should be eliminated by building social resistance against them," Rashed Khan Menon said in a statement.
The minister prayed for eternal peace of the souls of those killed and early recovery of the injured of the incident. Rashed Khan Menon participated in the Eid congregation at T&T Colony ground at Motijheel on Thursday morning.
Speaking to the participants at the congregation, the minister said, "We should remain alert against those who indulged in terrorist activities giving wrong interpretation of the religion.
The militants have been blackening the religion. Please, inquire about your offspring keeping close watch on them with whom they have now been hobnobbing. The militant-terrorists should be resisted socially forging a greater unity of all in the society."
