Khaleda becomes desperate to go to power, says Nasim

Spokesman of the 14-party alliance, Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Friday said BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been hatching a conspiracy to go to power by complicating the normal situation of the country, reports BSS.
"Khaleda Zia has become desperate to go to power. She wants to assume power by complicating the normal situation now prevailing in the country. She has now been engaged in an anti-state & anti-government deep conspiracy," he said.
Nasim said this while speaking as the chairperson of a joint meeting of the 14-party alliance at the political office of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina at Dhanmondi in the capital. The joint meeting between the central leaders of the 14-party alliance and presidents and general secretaries of Dhaka City South and North, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Manikganj and Dhaka District units of Awami League and party lawmakers of these districts was convened to make success the July 11 public rally of the alliance at the Central Shaheed Minar.
The public rally will be held in protest against secret killings across the country and the Friday's militant attack at a restaurant at Gulshan in the capital. Calling upon the leaders-workers to make the July 11 public rally a grand success, Nasim said, "A deep rooted conspiracy has been brewed up to topple the pro-liberation government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from power.
The masks of the militants and terrorists as well as the patrons of the incidents have gradually been exposed. People of the country are united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and they won't let the evil design of those militants to be materialised."
Referring to the recent militant attacks at Gulshan and Sholakia, the senior Awami League leader posed questions as to what sort of religion of Islam the militants being Muslims want to establish by killing foreigners and innocent people at a city restaurant and murdering policemen at Kishoreganj prior to the Eid congregation. Nasim urged party leaders and workers to constitute anti-terrorism committees at every city ward and localities across the country in response to the Prime Minister's call from July 12 to July 21 so that the enemies of humanity could be defeated with people's united strength.
Awami League presidium member Advocate Sahara Khatun, joint general secretaries Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif and Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, international affairs secretary Col (Retd) Faruque Khan, Liberation War affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque were present, among others.
