BYLC’s Twelfth Building Bridges Through Leadership Training Programme Held

Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) recently hosted the graduation ceremony for its signature programme, ‘Building Bridges through Leadership Training’, at the BRAC Centre Inn in the capital, according to a press release.
A total of 44 students from English, Bangla, and Madrassa medium backgrounds were competitively selected for the programme from 370 applications from over 145 institutions. The selected participants spent one-and-a-half months at BYLC where they went through a rigorous training on the theoretical and practical concepts of leadership. They spent the following month in a local community and translated their classroom learning into action by designing and implementing small, scalable, and sustainable community service projects.
“Leadership is not about advancing your own personal interests. It is about working with others and striving to make progress on some of the tough challenges facing us as a group, community, or country. I hope that the training at BYLC will both inspire and prepare you for a lifetime of leadership for the development of our society,” said the Founder and President of BYLC, Ejaj Ahmad, at the closing ceremony.
In his keynote address, Supun Weerasinghe, CEO of Robi Axiata Limited, said, “Bangladesh can only achieve its full potential if its youths  are prepared with the right kind of communication and leadership skills. BYLC is doing a tremendous job in preparing the Bangladeshi youth for the challenges of tomorrow.
