Two held with arms, drugs in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT: Police in a drive arrested two drug peddlers and recovered a foreign-made revolver, three round of bullets, 1,000 pieces of yaba tablets, ganja and fake notes from Debaria area under Kachua upazila of the district yesterday morning, reports BSS.
The arrested are Naimuzzaman, 36, of the same area and Salman Khan Babu, 17, of Bulbunia village under Kaukhali upazila in Pirojpur district.
On a tip-off, a team of the police from Kachua Thana conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo from Nuruzzaman’s house and recovered the arms, bullets, yaba tablets, ganja and fake notes, said Mijanur Rahman, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the Thana.
Two different cases were filed in this connection.
