Two youths arrested with 40-kg hemp

Police arrested two youths along with 40 kgs of hemp from a private car in Nagda area of Gazipur city early yesterday. Police also seized the private car. The arrested youths were identified as  Mohammed Nadim Hossain,19, son of Abdul Khalek of Doulatpur village under  Gafargaon upazila  in Mymensing  and  Nazmul Hossain, 20, son of Moslem Miah of Boro Dhormopur  village of Comilla district. Sub-inspector of Pubail police out post under Joydebpur police station Mobarak Hossain said on a secret information, police searched  a Gazipur bound  private car on  Nagda bridge near Mirer Bazar of Gazipur city at around 5 am on Friday. Later, police seized 40 kgs of hemp from the car and  arrested two youths carrying the  hemp. Police also  seized the private car. Meanwhile, A garment worker was found dead in Kolabadha area of Kaliakoir upazila on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Mahmudur Rahman Dipur, 30, son of Jahirul Islam, a resident of Goran area in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district and a worker of Rahmat Textile Mills Limited. Sub-inspector Faizur Rahman, in-charge of Mowchak Police outpost under Kaliakoir Police Station, said locals spotted the slaughtered body of Dipur in the area in the morning and informed police.
