AL leader stabbed dead in Bandarban

A local Awami League man was stabbed to death by miscreants at Baishari in Naikkhaochhari upazila of Bandarban yesterday, UNB reports. The deceased was identified as Mang Shailu Marma, vice-president of ward-7 unit of Baishari union Awami League. Sub-inspector Anisur Rahman of Baishari police investigation centre said a group of miscreants swooped on Mang near Maishari Union parishad around 10pm while he was returning home from Baishari Bazar. They stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot, he said. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital for autopsy.
