Sadar upazilla parishad budget unveiled in Faridpur

FARIDPUR: LGRD & Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain said here on Wednesday that the overall development of Faridpur district during the last eight years has become role model for others, reports BSS. Speaking as the chief guest in Sadar upazilla parishad budget announcement function held at upazilla auditorium Mosharraf said this district was very much neglected during the past successive governments but now the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina the situation has reversed that helped bringing development in all sectors. He sought the cooperation of the people to continue this pace of development for bringing smile in faces of the people. Khondoker Mohtesham Hossain Babor, chairman of Sadar upazilla and younger brother of minister announced a budget of Taka 4 crore, 51 lakhs, 8 thousand and 900.00 amid thunderous applause in the auditorium. The function was chaired by UNO of Sadar Md. Zahirul Islam. Earlier a separate function was held at Kabi Jasimuddin hall. He distributed cheques of Taka one crore 33 lakh 66 thousand 800.00 among the poor, destitute, physically challenged and widows.
