AL leader �abducted� in Manikganj

Benapole: A leader of Benapole municipality unit Awami League was reportedly abducted from Aricha Ghat area in Manikganj early yesterday, reports UNB.
The victim was Mahtab Uddin, joint secretary of the AL unit.  Victim’s son Sohel said some criminals abducted his father Mahtab from the area at about 2am while he was returning to Benapole from Dhaka by the bus of ‘Sohagh Paribahan’.
The driver of the bus and his helper attempted to resist the abduction bid, but in vain.
However, no complaint was filed in this regard till filing this report at 1pm.
