IU VC Abdul Hakim Sarker removed

The government yesterday removed Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University (IU) Prof Abdul Hakim Sarker without citing any reason, reports UNB.
In a circular issued by the Education Ministry said President Abdul Hamid, who is also the Chancellor of the university, relieved Abdul Hakim of the post of IU VC.
It, however, did not mention any reason for the removal of the VC.
