Speakers at a press briefing in the capital yesterday called for taking up long term projects comprising both the government and non-government organisations for solving food crisis in Thanchi upazila of hilly Bandarban district.
About 20,000 people living in remote areas of the upazila have been affected by food crisis.
Of them, people of inaccessible 11 frontier villages are worst affected, they said addressing the briefing at Brac Centre at Mohakhali in the capital.
Disaster management climate change (DMCC) and communication units of Brac organised the press briefing.
