Five fined for manufacturing fake cosmetics

A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-2 yesterday fined Tk 9 lakh to 5 people including MD of Global Accrued Company Limited (GACL) for manufacturing and selling fake cosmetics.
The alleged people were involved in producing fake cosmetics using various chemicals in different areas in Tejgaon of the capital. A special team of RAB-2 has been conducting drives to detect fake cosmetics manufacturs ahead of Eid. Yesterday a RAB team conducted drive at Global Accrued Company Limited (GACL) in Begunbari inTejgaon Industrian Area led by RAB-2 deputy director Major Mohammad Ali. During the drive it was seen that Olivia Hair remover creams and liquid, Olivia Mehdi, antiseptic creams and soaps, facials, massage creams, shaving foams, gels etc. are being manufactured by mixing chemicals.
