Talent introduction platform established in Yunnan

The first Yunnan Conference on the International Exchange of Professionals was jointly held by the Yunnan Provin-cial Office of Human Resources and the Kunming Social Security Depart-ment. The conference has seen some 70 cooperation projects and 25 talent introduction cooperation MOUs signed between overseas talent introduction agencies and overseas students. About 80 high-caliber overseas talents landed new jobs, and around 200 professionals specializing in technological innova-tion and entrepreneurship, took part in financing and business development training during the conference.

The conference has attracted a total of 450 participants from a variety of foreign expert organizations, research institutions, colleges and universities representing 35 countries and regions, and more than 200 overseas experts. Yunnan human resource authorities have signed memorandum of coop-eration with 25 overseas talent intro-duction and education institutions, including the University of Bologna, Italy and Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. The new cooperation provides new platforms for cooperation between Yunnan and overseas talent agencies in the fields of bio-pharmaceutics, finan-cial management, modern agriculture and more. During the conference, 36 cooperative agreements were achieved and around 80 high-caliber overseas talents specializing in education, scien-tific research, medicine and other fields were introduced to Yunnan.

At the conference’s Yunnan Talent Strategy Forum, eight experts delivered keynote speeches, 28 local employers signed tripartite agreements with 40 overseas high-level talents from 18 countries and regions. Around 70 talent introduction projects were brought to Yunnan, encompassing 200 profession-als from 92 enterprises specializing in technological innovation and entrepre-neurship. They took part in financing and business development training, while participants in 46 projects re-ceived mentor counseling and eight roadshow projects were launched.
