A mobile court on Monday sentenced two people to jail and fined 35 drug stores to Tk61.50 lakh, sealed off three drug stores and seized adulterated medicine worth Tk5 crore at the city's medicine wholesale market Hazari Lane.
The mobile court continued it drive from 11am to 11pm on Monday and fined the drug stores on different grounds including selling government medicines, adulterated medicines, unapproved foreign medicines, and date expiry medicines.
The drive conducted led by Sarwar Alam, executive magistrate of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
