A three day Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Business Expo will begin on 15 July in Siliguri of India.
Prior to the expo, BBIN business forum, investment forum to boost sub-regional cooperation which was launched in October-2015, will be inaugurated officially in Kolkata,
said a press conference at the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) auditorium in the capital yesterday.
BBIN business expo is going to be organised jointly by FBBCI and Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) and Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) will take part in the expo.
FBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmad said that around 60 stalls from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal will be allocated in the Siliguri expo.
Bangladeshi stalls will be arranged of textile, cotton, agriculture, food processing materials, dairy products, electrical equipments, chemicals and fertilizers, tannery products and auto-mobile products.
FBCCI president said seminars and meetings will be held among the four countries during all the three days of expo. Trade policy and trade barriers between the neighbouring will be discussed on the occasions, he said.
