Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) ended yesterday with upward trend in price indices and market activities, reports BSS
DSEX - the broader index of DSE - gained 32.60 points to finish the day at 4412.83 which were 1.24 points down at 4380.22 on Sunday.
The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES also saw uptrend to close 11.61 points up at 1726.36 and 5.69 points up at 1085.85 respectively.
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed the day up, with its major CSCX index closing about 53.88 points up at 8223.69.
The daily turnover in volume at DSE is 9 crore 36 lakhs 61 thousand 119 shares when the daily trade value is Tk 352 crore 11 lakh two thousand 553.
Among the traded 320 issues at DSE, 205 closed upper against 62 losing issues.
At CSE, 157 issues up when 57 finished the day lower.
The top five gaining companies in DSE were Islami Insurance, SEML Lecture, Dragon Sweater, Pioneer Insurance and Saif Power.
The major losers included Modern Dying, Dulamia Cotton, Prime Life, Pragati Life Insurance and Vanguard BD Mutual Fund One.
ACME Lab topped the turnover list followed by Olympic Accessories, Aman Feeds, Islamic Bank and BBS.
