Liquor factory unearthed in Manikganj

Detectives Branch (DB) of Police in a drive unearthed a spurious liquor factory and arrested two drug traders along with a huge quantity of liquor produced in the factory from Aylar Char area in Harirampur upzila yesterday.The arrested persons were identified as Kesto Halwlader, 45, of Char Dhunot village in Dhunot upazila of Bogra district and Abdur Rahim,
27, of Modonpur village in Harirampur upazila of Manikganj.
Police Superintendent of Manikganj Mahfuzur Rahaman said acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at Aylar Char village and arrested the duo while they were producing liquor.
Police recovered 210 liters of liquor kept in several drums. Police also seized 20 pieces of sex stimulating Yaba tablets from Rahim’s possession.
