A Bangladeshi national sustained bullet injuries as members of the Border Security Force (BSF) of India opened fire on him at Boikary border point in Sadar upazila early yesterday.
The injured was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 30, son of Golam Mostofa, a resident of Gorerkanda area of the town was a cattle trader.
Sources and Anwara Begum, wife of Alamgir said the BSF troops from Koijuri camp, near Boikary border, opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi people, including Alamgir, when they were returning to the bordering area with cattle in the early hours, leaving him injured. He was admitted to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for treatment.
