BASIS election results announced

The results of the election to form the executive committee of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) for the term of 2016-2019 have been published.
Chief of Digital Brigade and owner of Ananda Computers, Mustafa Jabbar received 281 votes. Among the candidates, Farhana Rahman received the most votes.
Sonia Bashir Kabir, chief of the Change Makers and chief executive of Microsoft Bangladesh, received 152 votes.
On the other hand, elected general members are --- Syed Almas Kabir, and Mostafizur Rahman Sohel, Sabbir Rahman Tanim, Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, Mustafa Jabbar,
AKM Ahmedul Islam, Azmal Haque Azim, Rashad Kabir, Suti Faruq Ibne Abubakar, Mustafa Rafiqul Islam, Nazmul Karim Chowdhury, Khondoker Abdul Hafiz, Riyad SA Hussain, Saydul Islam Mazumder, Sonia Bashir Kabir, Delowar Hossain Faruk, Enamul Haque, M Rashidul Hasan, Russell T Ahmed, Farhana A Rahman With 68 votes, Uttam Kumar Paul has been elected as the associate member.
The polling started at 10 am on Saturday and went on till 5 pm.
