1 held over violating minor girl

Police arrested a man on charge of violating a minor girl from Debarpar area under Bayezid police station early yesterday.
The arrestee was identified as Md Alamgir, 40, son of Fazlu Mia, hailing from Islamamani Kandir under Titas Upazila of Comilla district.
 “Alamgir was arrested on charge of violating a nine year old girl. Victim’s mother lodged a complaint accusing Alamgir,” said Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bayezid police station.
When the girl screamed the alleged rapist threatened her to kill and gave her Tk30. He raped her four times, said the OC quoting her mother.
