AC city bus service opens

CHITTAGONG: Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation yesterday inaugurated first ever air-conditioned bus services in the port city, ushering in a new hope among the city dwellers, reports BSS .
“The people would start using this air-conditioned bus service if they hear that the fare has been lowered”, the city mayor added. The city mayor also observed that the people are ready to spend extra money in the interest of safe and comfortable journey with security.
Nasir declared the fare of the AC buses for the first three kilometres at Taka 20 and hoped that the newly launched bus service would address the longstanding crisis of quality public transport in the port city.
