Teachers should ensure quality primary education: Speakers

RANGPUR: The primary school teachers should teach at classrooms utilising improved skills and techniques in making lessons interesting and easily understandable for students to ensure quality primary education.
The opinion came at a discussion on ‘Role of Teachers in Attaining Quality Primary Education’ arranged on the occasion of hosting an Iftar mahfil by district unit of National Primary Assistant Teachers’ Foundation (NPATF) here on Wednesday evening.
District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) Md Khalilur Rahman attended the workshop as the chief guest with President of district unit of NPATF Shafikul Islam Chand in the chair.
Assistant DPEO Osman Gani, Sadar Upazila Primary Education Officer Afroza Jasmine, Organising Secretary of central committee of NPATF Ekramul Shah and Inspector of Upazila Resource Central Foundation Faruk Hossain addressed as special guests.
The speakers stressed on sincere efforts and joint collaboration of the primary school teachers, guardians and members of the school managing committees (SMCs) to ensure quality primary education for producing worthy citizens.
They asked the teachers to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity to ensure quality primary education through providing the time-befitting knowledge to the students giving them stronger footage in making them enlightened citizens for the future.
They put special emphasis on turning the huge population into worthy human resources through properly educating every child from the primary level to make them competent for serving the nation with full efficiency.
They also called upon the government for properly preserving rights, dignity and honour of the primary level assistant teachers to improve their life standard in the process of ensuring quality primary education.
Narrating the epoch-making success achieved by the present government in education sector, the chief guest said there is doubt that Prime Minster is totally committed to ensure quality primary education as she has nationalised thousands of primary schools.
