Fizz bowls at nets first time after IPL stint

Bangladesh pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman started bowling under the supervision of the instructors at the BCB-National Cricket Academy (NCA) ground yesterday just one day after his first assessment.
Brett Harrop, rehabilitation manager of BCB High Performance, attended the session as instructor. He was accompanied by Mario Villavarayen, strength and conditioning coach of the Bangladesh national team and physio Baijadul Islam.
Mustafiz bowled six overs at net in the presence of them. But either Fizz or his instructor did not talk to media about comeback in bowling action. It is learnt that he will bowl with one day gap till the next 10 to 14 days.
This is Mustafizs first net bowling practice after returning home from Indian Premier League (IPL) stint.
Medical team of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) assessed the condition of the cutter-master on Wednesday after one week of his rehabilitation programme.
In this regard, Baijadul Islam, physio of the national team said that Mustafiz has done some progress in his hamstring injury.
We have assessed him first time on Wednesday one week after his rehab programme what we set for him following his comeback from IPL with hamstring injury. Thereafter, he has made some progress, said Baijadul Islam.
Today he bowls first at net. Were expecting that he could bowl in full length after 10 to 14 more days, Islam told The Independent.
Mustafiz played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, who lifted their maiden IPL title this year. After returning home from his IPL stint, BCB medical team set a two-week rehab programme for Mustafiz to his full recovery from hamstring injury.
