JAMALPUR: Construction work of two bridges on the Brahmaputra River in Islampur upazila of the district has been completed and it would be opened for vehicular movement very soon, reports BSS. Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED) implemented the construction work of the bridges spending Taka over 200 crore. The department constructed 560 metres long bridge in Piling Ghat area spending Taka 99.76 and 560 metres long bridge in Dapholapara Ghat area spending Taka 104.41 crore. Assistant engineer of LGED Mirza Taherul Haque said after completing the construction work of the bridges, work of making approach road is being continued. He also said the bridges will be opened for communication for people by December.
