Commerce Minister and Advisory Council Member of the ruling Awami League Tofail Ahmed yesterday said the government has taken tough measures to curb secret killings and militant attacks, reports BSS. “The militant attacks unleashed in the country would stop as the government has taken tough measures against recurring of such incidents”, said the minister. The minister made this comment while replying to a query of the journalists after paying tributes to the memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Bhaban in city’s Dhanmondi, on the occasion of the 67th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League. Tofael said BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is protecting the secret killers, adding that the government is maintaining ‘zero tolerance’ against terrorism and militancy ..the government will eliminate evil elements from the society.
