Faridpur: Two people were killed in a collision between a human hauler and a pick-up van in Chhatra area of Boalmari upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Zaber Farzi, 50, a resident of Babui Khola village of Saltha upazila and Yakub alias Aku Akhter 65, a resident of Aduyadangi village of sadar upazila. Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Boalmari Police Station, said the pick-up van collided with the Alfadanga-bound human in the area around 6:30am, leaving the duo critically injured. The injured were admitted at Faridpur Medical College Hospital. They succumbed to their injuries on the way to Dhaka. Police seized the pickup van while the driver managed to flee.
