ACC gives clean chit to 2 govt officials

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has cleared two government officials of separate graft allegations.
The Commission gave the clean chit to surveyor of Deputy Commissioners Office of Sirajganj Imdadul Haque and higher division clerk of LGED chief
engineers office of Magura SM Enamul Kabir through official notifications, issued by ACC secretary Abu M Mustafa Kamal, yesterday, reports UNB.
The ACC earlier received an allegation that Imdadul misappropriated money from a road development project.
Later, considering the allegation, the national anti-graft body initiated a probe against him. But, the ACC did not find any irregularities.
Besides, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has cleared higher division clerk Enamul Kabir from the allegation of acquiring illegal wealth.
Another reports adds: The Anti Corruption Commission yesterday filed a case against an upper division assistant (UDA) of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth.
ACC deputy assistant director Nur Alam filed the case against Salauddin Ratan with Ramna Police Station, Commissions public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
According to the first information report (FIR), the ACC earlier asked Rajuk UDA Salauddin Ratan to submit his wealth statement to the Commission and he placed his wealth report before it responding the directive.
After examining the wealth statement, the ACC found that Ratan concealed wealth worth Tk 1.14 crore in his wealth statement.
Besides, the Anti Corruption Commissions (ACC) probe found that he also accumulated illegal wealth worth Tk 1.18 crore, the FIR said.
