One thousand reporters focus on China-South Asia Expo

At this year’s China-South Asia Expo (CSAE), thousands of report-ers conveyed this spectacular event to the world with their pens, cameras and mobile phones as it unfolded. 

As its influence grows, the event has attracted more than 1,200 report-ers from home and abroad this year, including those from China, India, Nepal, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Japan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Thailand. 

As the CSAE constantly expands its sphere of influence to neighbor-ing countries and becomes known worldwide, the press in South and Southeast Asian countries has be-come increasingly responsive and in-volved. They strive to tell the world the exciting story of China, South Asian and Southeast Asian countries seeking common development with their cameras and pens.

Lao National Television reporter Khamphet Xayavong said, “I am much honored to cover the China-South Asia Expo together with so many colleagues from Southeast and South Asia. We will work together to bring the spectacular event to the world!” 

Yangon Media Group reporter, Thu Thu Htet Lwin, said, “This is my first time coming to Yunnan and my first time taking part in the CSAE. Here, I saw Myanmar’s gold embroidery, mangos and rice. I think it provides a platform for promoting and showcasing specialty products from around the world.” 

TVK reporter Khun Phirum told reporters, “I think it was very well prepared. The rich variety and excel-lent quality of commodities show-cased by exhibitors from various countries is the biggest attraction for me. The display of Cambodia’s commodities at the exhibition can build greater awareness of Cambo-dia’s specialty products in countries around the world, and effectively boost the image of the country.”
