Traders of Joydebpur Chowrasta in Gazipur city attacked a mobile court and vandalised a vehicle of the court during a drive in the area yesterday.
District market officer and a police constable were also injured during the incident.
Gazipur district Market Officer Abdus Salam said a mobile court of Gazipur district administration on Tuesday morning led by assistant director of Consumer Rights Protection Department Rozina Sultana found a huge amount of date expired products at Gobinda Traders of the market.
The court also fined them for not hanging price list in the shop. While the court was preparing the expired product of the shop, more than one hundred traders of the market and locals locked into altercation with mobile court over the issue. At one stage, traders attacked the mobile court. They vandalised the glasses of a vehicle of the mobile court. District Market Officer Abdus Salam and a police constable Mohammed Enamul Haque were injured during the incident.
