‘Both plots and flats for MPs’

Housing and public works Minister Mosharraf Hossain yesterday told parliament that the members of parliament (MPs) can have flat and plot both. He was speaking at a general discussion on the proposed budget in parliament. He said RAJUK will build about 1,00,000 apartments which can be received on easy terms. He proposed that MPs should take apartments instead of plots. But, the MPs disagreed, shouting “No...No”.
After this, the minister stopped for a while and later said that a new housing project will be launched with 2200 acre land and that the MPs could take flat and plot both.
