Versatile actor Zahid Hasan will be seen playing a unique role in a special drama serial titled ‘Ghaartera Majnu’ on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The drama serial is written by Litu Sakhawat and directed by Rumman Roni.
DhakaLive has news that alongside Zahid Hasan, who will be playing the title role, popular actress Tanjin Tisha and Milon Bhatya, among others, are in the various characters in the drama serial. In the story of drama serial, Majnu is extremely ill tempered and a hot-headed individual. Everyone is afraid of this temper of his, including his parents, brothers and sisters and neighbours. For his temper, he has been given the nickname of ‘Ghaartera Majnu’. The tele-drama takes a bizarre turn, when one morning, Majnu finds out that his neck has actually become crooked. After getting shocked by this strange occurrence, his family tries to remedy this by taking him to religious mystics. However, it is to no avail as his neck remains crooked. Majnu becomes embarrassed by this. He does not leave the house without wearing a ‘burkha’. His father contemplates getting him married off might solve the situation. That is what happens. When people from the bride’s side come to visit Majnu, his neck straightens up suddenly.
Regarding his role, Zahid Hasan said, “I always give my best whenever I am acting. Even if it proves to be difficult, I always give my best work. This tele-drama is one such work, and I feel that it turned out to be great. The viewers will have a good experience.” ‘Ghaartera Majnu’ will be aired for six consecutive days, starting from Eid day at 6:20pm on Maasranga Television.
