GAIBANDHA: Construction work of seven bridges in five unions of Palashbari upazila has been progressing fast for few months last aimed at promoting the road communication system in rural areas, reports BSS.
Upazila project implementation office under the Ministry of Disaster and Relief is implementing the spending Taka 2.50 crore under the direct supervision of the upazila administration, office sources said.
The bridges are being built over different canals and water bodies at Kishorgari, Pabnapur, Betkapa, Horinathpur and Monohorpur unions of the upazila.
Over 90 per cent work had already been completed and the rest work would be finished by June 30, it was expected, said Rashedul Islam, sub assistant engineer of the office.
