Police on Sunday evening held two students of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) for their alleged involvement in militancy.
Leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) captured Abir Ahmed, 25, and Shahinur Rahman, 25, students of department of Genetic Engineering of JUST and handed them over to police, said Sub-Inspector Kabir Hossain, in-charge of Sajiali police camp. The arrested students told journalists that they were not involved with any political party or militancy.
The two students were later handed over to Kotwali police, SI Kabir said.
