Former Bangladesh national team goalkeeper Lal Mohammad died of cardiac arrest at his Malibagh residence in the capital at 5am. He was 60.
Lal Mohammad, who played for the national tam for a brief period in early 80s, left behind his wife, three daughters and one son to mourn his death.
He started his first division career in favour of Police AC before playing for Dhaka Mohammedan for two seasons. His Namaz-e-janja was held at Malibagh Chowdhurypara Matir mosque after Asr prayers before laid to rest at Martyrs Intellectuals graveyard in Mirpur.
Bangladesh Football Federation has condoled the death of Lal Mohammed and expressed its heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
