Another held over Pabna ashram attendant murder

Police yesterday arrested another person in connection with the killing of a Hindu ashram attendant, reports UNB. The arrestee was identified as Harun Khan, 42, son of Habibur Rahman of Kasmat-Putappur village in Sadar upazila.
Inspector (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station Munshi Abu Kuddus, also investigation officer of a case filed over the murder, said a team of police arrested Harun from Kasmat-Putappur area in the early hours.
Later, he produced before a court seeking a 10-day remand.
Judge of Pabna Cognisance Court-1 Najimuddoula placed Harun on a five-day remand.
With this, three people have so far been arrested in connection with the murder Nityaranjan Pandey, 62, an attendant of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra Ashram (asylum), was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Hemayetpur in Sadar upazila on June 10.
