2 killed in Tangail road crash

Two persons were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Satiyachhara area of Mirzapur of the district early yesterday.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Shafiqul Islam, 40, and helper Sohel, 22, of Sajapur village of Bogra district. Sub-Inspector of Gorai highway police Babul Sheikh said the accident occurred at Satiyachhara at 5 am when a truck hit another standing truck, leaving Shafiqul and Sohel dead on the spot.
The bodies were sent to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital morgue. A case was filed with Mirzapur Police Station.
