Local electronic company Walton has set a target of registering 40 per cent higher sales during Ramadan this year than the business of last Ramadan, the company said in a statement yesterday.
To achieve the target, Walton undertook massive preparations from its production process to marketing strategies.
Walton officials said, both the demands and the sales of local company’s products like fridges, air conditioners, televisions and other home and kitchen appliances have increased across the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Walton has a stock of 1.5 lakh refrigerators. Moreover, production of 19-inch, 24-inch, 28-inch and 32-inch LED televisions has been increased in the factory to maintain smooth supply in the Ramadan.
Recently, the local brand marketed non-frost refrigerators with ‘intelligent inverter’ technology based compressors, which consume about 35 to 40 percent lower electricity than the refrigerators with induction technology compressors. Walton also declared 10 years guaranty for the ‘intelligent inverter’ compressor.
