Youth to die for killing schoolgirl

A youth was sentenced to death for killing a school student in 2013 at Kaliakoir upazila in Gazipur.
Judge of Gazipur District and Session Judge Court A K M Anamul Haque announced the verdict on Sunday morning.
The convict was identified as Bikram Sarker alias Bijoy Sarker, 25, of Kanchonpur village.  According to the prosecution, Bikram Chandra Sarker stabbed Kabita Das, a student of class X of Bijoy Smorony High School in Board Ghar area of Kalaikoir upazila on October 13 as she refused love proposal.   Kabita was going to school to appear test examination on the day of incident.   Locals and her classmates rescued her and sent to Kaliakoir upazila health complex, but on duty doctor declared her dead.
