President Abdul Hamid yesterday said the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India are becoming multidimensional because of increasing connectivity and Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal (BBIN) Initiative, reports UNB.
The President said this when Indian Lok Sabha member Abhijit Mukherjee made a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban.
Welcoming Abhijit, also the son of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, at the Bangabhaban President Hamid recalled with gratitude the Indian cooperation and assistance during Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971. President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.
