Govt itself treacherous, alleges Khaleda

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia yesterday branded the government as treacherous one, saying it is covertly indulging in anti-state activities, reports UNB.
“They file cases against others on charge of treason. But, I want to say this government is secretly doing many things against the country which people don’t know,” she told an iftar party.
“The government is also indulging in many activities that are against the country’s interest,” she further said without elaborating the acts.
Khaleda was addressing the ifar party organised by the BNP-led 20-party’s component Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) at the city’s Ladies’ Club.
Under the country’s current situation, she said all the political parties should get united to restore democracy and save the country.
“We the political are saying same things from our respective
positions. But, we all should now get united without thinking who will get what benefits for the sake of the country’s welfare.”
The BNP chief said the government has plundered all the banks, including state and private ones. “There’re also irregularities in private banks.” Referring to Bangladesh Banks’ reserve account heist, she said the country’s state bank had never ever been plundered in such a manner being committed under the current regime.
“So, the current government has proved that it’s a failed, incompetent, worthless, corrupt, killer and repressor.”
