Pro-Football League in five venues from July 24

The Professional Football League Committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) finally set the date to raise the curtain of the much talked and also the most coveted Saif Powertec Bangladesh Premier football League on July 24.
The is the first time BFF has taken the initiative to organise the BPL in six different venues outside Dhaka since its inception in 2007.
The newly formed league committee in their first meeting yesterday at the BFF Bhaban decided that apart from the Bangabandhu National Stadium and Chittagong MA Aziz Stadium, the other four venues outside Dhaka are Barisal Stadium, Rajshahi Stadium, Sylhet Stadium while the fifth venue will be selected between Mymensingh and Gopalganj.
Abdus Salam Murshedi, chairman of the BPL detailed all to the reporters after their meeting while he said that among the four venues outside Dhaka, two matches will be held everyday at the Sylhet and MA Aziz Stadium as they have flood light facilities. A total of 112 matches will take place outside Dhaka while all the matches of the league will telecast live in the television while, as the all the rights of the league was sold to SAIF Powertec, their sister concern the SAIF Global Sports will announce the name of the television.
Salam, also the vice-president of the BFF, said that this time the grant for the participating teams will be increased to Taka 30,0000 for each team.
However, this is the first step of decentralising the football outside Dhaka, as the BFF officials think so.
