Detectives in a drive arrested 21 alleged members of a doping gang from different parts of the capital yesterday, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a simultaneous drive and arrested the 21 from different parts of the city, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of DMP Masudur Rahman.
Police also recovered some sedatives from their possession. Briefing reporters at DMP media centre, Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) Monirul Islam said a special team of the DB, led by its Assistant Commissioner Md Snigdha Akhter, conducted several drives at Kamalapur railway station, Gulapshah Mazar and Gulistan bus stand between 9am and 10:40am and arrested the doper gang members.
