Pandas’ Dragon Boat Festival

Giant pandas Hexing and Annan celebrated their first Dragon Boat Festival in the prov-ince at the Yunnan Wildlife Zoo. The staff even made a toy dragon boat for the two giant pandas. 

Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival with a history of more than 2,000 years, and it falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year. During Dragon Boat Festival, a variety of celebrations are held. For example, people eat a type of glutinous rice dumplings called Zongzi and hold dragon boat races.
